Don’t let Tonbridge get left behind!

For the avoidance of doubt both Tunbridge Wells BC and Maidstone BC are conducting Community Governance Reviews to prepare for new town councils.

Tunbridge Wells are consulting residents from 2nd June and Maidstone from 22nd July.

If they both resolve to create town councils for their principle towns, and Tonbridge and Malling do not, our town would be the only town or village in any new West Kent Unitary Authority without its own council.

It is incredibly important that TMBC gets the biggest possible sample for its consultation and that residents are clear that they want to see truly local democracy restored here.

We do not want to get left behind.
